The Cardinal
Finally I got one... he seemed to be a nice guy cause he waited for me til I got my camera, then as soon as I took the shot he took off...
Today's joke is a medical warning!
The American Medical Association has declared that the long
term implications of drugs or medical procedures must be more
fully considered.
Over the past few years, more money has been spent on breast
implants and Viagra than is spent on Alzheimer's disease
research. It is now projected that by the year 2015 there
will be fifty million people wandering around with huge
breasts and erections who can't remember what to do with them.
And some stuff about Texas!
Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say aboutfolks from Texas ...
If someone in a Lowe's store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you may live in Texas ;
If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you may live in Texas ;
If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number, you may live in Texas ;
If 'Vacation' means going anywhere south of Dallas for the weekend, you may live in Texas ;
If you measure distance in hours, you may live in Texas ;
If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you may live in Texas ;
If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked, you may live in Texas ;
If you carry jumper cables in your car and your wife knows how to use them, you may live in Texas
If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph --you're going 80 and everybody's passing you, you may live in Texas ;
If you find 60 degrees 'a little chilly,' you may live in Texas ;
If you actually understand these jokes, and share them with all your Texas friends, you definitely live in Texas ..

If you measure distance in hours, you may live in Texas ; If you Live in Texas you know why, it's a BIG freakin State, takes hours to get from where ever you are in Texas to someplace else in Texas, LoL
ReplyDelete**Peace**
Lol....#5,6, and 7 sound like Alberta, except 60F is warm up till July. Also, we hit moose.
ReplyDeleteIf he's wearing shorts and your in a parka, he's from Canada.
P.s., that's not a cardinal, it's only a bishop.
I have always wondered why Jeff Foxworthy's jokes about Texas were so funny because it was really just a list of facts and then I moved... and realized the rest of the world didn't live like that. LOL Cardinals are skiddish for the most part so this is an excellent shot.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot. When I was a boy I used to call cardinals 'red jays'. They are quite common in my parts too and their appearance is a portent to the end of another weary winter.
ReplyDeleteLove those joles by the way, here's my favourite.
"If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph --you're going 80 and everybody's passing you, you may live in Texas".
And if those cars have red shifted due to the Doppler effect then you live in Canada.
A Cardinal by name and looks, I'm glad you got him in one go !
ReplyDeletemarvellous catch,
