Runner

Shot taken Sunday, in Galveston. I went down there with my brother and some friends to have some fun, but with all the traffic and heat, I lost my appetite for any kind of fun. As a matter of fact I've never seen before such a traffic in that area as it was on that day... but anyway, let's get back to the picture. For those who know the area, they know the water cannot be that blue, but brownie, so I had to make it look like a real water... hope it worked!

And some facts from Texas!

  9. Yeah the water around Galveston Bay or Gulf side doesn't exactly conjure up scenes of the Caribbean does it, it'll be even worse if BP's Oil Leak hits there. Look at your feet after walking the Beaches there or Padre or Mustang Islands too, Tar stained from the minor leaks from the Rigs, been that way since the early 70s and only getting worse.

Been to or through a lot of those Texas Towns at one time or another, I got a Tattoo in Sweetwater TX back in 92.

  13. Hey, for the food category, you left out two of my favorites - Cut 'n Shoot, Texas and Punkin, Texas. LOL yup, you fooled me with the color of the water. :-) But what a great shot of the dog in action! I remember years ago when the freeway - from The Island, 25 miles up towards Houston, was one line of unmoving cars filled with bathing suits, tubes, surf board and rowdy beach-goers stopped like a giant parking lot. It could take 3 hours just to get on the island from Dickinson! Seawall Blvd was the cruise and it was bumper to bumper in both directions and you could have a great conversation with people standing on the wall from your car because the cars hardly moved up and down the street. Ahhhhh, those were great times for teens on the beach.
