Fear
Here is another shot from Rosia Montana (for those who don't remember or don't know, check my post "Rich Man, Poor Town"). That dog seemed really scared... and I presume that he was a stray dog, since more than half of that town was abandoned.
Here's the today's joke:
A 6 year old and a 4 year old are upstairs in their bedroom.
- You know what? says the 6 year old, I think it's about time we started cussing.
The 4 year old nods his head in approval. The 6 year old continues:
- When we go downstairs for breakfast, I'm gonna say something with hell and you say something with a**!
The 4 year old agrees with enthusiasm. When the mother walks into the kitchen and asks the 6 year old what he wants for breakfast, he replies:
- Aw, hell, Mom, I guess I'll have some Cheerios!
WHACK! He flies out of his chair, tumbles across the kitchen floor, gets up, and runs upstairs crying his eyes out, with his mother in hot pursuit, slapping his rear with every step. His mom locks him in his room and shouts:
- You can stay there until I let you out!
She then comes back downstairs, looks at the 4 year old and asks with a stern voice:
- And what do YOU want for breakfast, young man?
- I don't know, he blubbers, but you can bet your fat a** I won't say Cheerios!!!

Has the small dog been afraid of you????
ReplyDeleteA very interesting and miraculous photo with "deep insight"!
Ursula: I guess he was afraid of everyone... but when he realized I won't hurt him, he became friendly! In Romania the major problem are the stray dogs. The state wants to get rid of them, but the humane societies are fighting back, so the stray dogs are wandering freely everywhere, breeding like rabbits, and some of them are really dangerous...
ReplyDeleteVery cool shot!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent photo that tugs at the heart strings. It seems that most of us on Rendo are dog and/or cat lovers, so this is bound to evoke a lot of sympathy. Hope they have some sort of animal shelter. I'll have to go back and read your note...I don't recall Rosia, Montana.
ReplyDeleteBill
That dog is beautiful and looks more patient than afraid i think..because their eyes are calm... perhaps he is waiting for something or just thinking about what to do in the rest of the day..

ReplyDeleteAw what a poor sweet dog. Great shot. Sad to read that strays are a big problem, Too bad they don't have a spay/neuter and release program there. They have one in Georgia, usa For the cats called the Sterile feral program. It is great.
ReplyDeleteSuch a touching and heart-wrenching photograph.... this capture speaks to me, and am taken completely and utterly by it. It's almost as though I feel this dog; and he does look so beautiful, yet so sad.... Poor little guy.. I hate seeing strays more than anything-- they are so helpless, and all they want is love and affection. The capture is most captivating, so many "busy" details, ads, etc... and yet there is only one most important subject here, nevertheless. This photograph will stick with me, most certainly......... like a locked image in my mind. Wonderfully composed, my friend.
ReplyDeleteInteresting "window" to another country. Seems not realy affraid but give up.
ReplyDeleteI have often stopped to rescue an obviously abandoned dog only to find that it is so afraid of my help that he becomes over-stressed and in even more danger. This poor thing breaks my heart. When a dog's life boils down to nothing more than survival, it becomes a sad world.
ReplyDeleteExcellent capture...
ReplyDeleteHis eyes are so sad,it always brings tears to my eyes when i see animals with no home, you chose the perfect title for this awesome shot, thanks for sharing Eddie!!:-)
