Stargate Goes Public
This one was my second attempt to create an image with the subject "Stargate". Still I'm not happy with it, but anyway, it looks better than my first attempt (I'll never post that one!!!), which was a totally mess.
The main image is from Frankenmuth, MI
Then the stargate thing I took a shot of one of my DVD collection, the bridge, the stairs and the background are from Romania.
If you don't like it, please don't throw with rocks at me, but tomatoes... at least I'll have a salad!
Have a wonderful day!

Very cool concept and render!
ReplyDeleteWow this is cool! I would love to learn how to do stuff like this!
ReplyDeleteStargate is everywhere!
ReplyDeleteWonderful work!
Wonderful manipulation! Makes you wonder what would happen if you walked up those stairs and through the gate :) Great job!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Image!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful composition. excellent capture
ReplyDeleteCool work! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI think it is good work. maybe some smoke or mist around the gate and walkway, or coming off the water. just an idea definitely not criticism.
ReplyDeleteNo criticism, only an opinion of preference. I would have done a portrait crop on this, eliminating most of the tree and part of the house. This is awesome work!
ReplyDeletegreat idea, agree with clb smiley, I eat my own tomatoes! well done! RS
ReplyDeleteIt's not a bucket of chicken. Sci-fi writers would all like to be the one to unlock the secret of the stars before the scientists and politicians.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and excellent realisation ! Bravo !! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat image! when I first saw the title, I imagined a ticket booth or a boarding area with lines of people going on vacation.
ReplyDeleteWell done
WONDERFUL PHOTO MANIPULATION... AND COOL GOLDEN GATE :) STARGATE MY FAV TV SHOW FOR 9 YEARS ;-)
ReplyDeleteExcellent!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty good to me! Well done! (:
ReplyDeleteLOL... just watched a Stargate episode last night Eddie!! Great manipulation! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat work! afraid I am not familiar with the show.
ReplyDeleteCool concept and nice work! great
ReplyDeleteYour humor in the narrative has me ROFLMAO. It's a wonderful collection, skillfully put together. I'm missing quite a bit of your work so I'm adding you to my fav artists. And thanks for taking the time to comment on my renders.
ReplyDeleteInteresting work!
ReplyDeletePERFECT !!!!!!!!! LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNow this is awesome! It's about time they went public! ( ;) )
ReplyDeleteVery cool concept. Stargate is one of my favorite Science Fiction series. Stargate Atlantis is also.! Great manipulation!
you go Eddie!
Nice blend, but the thing is kind of leaning to the left a little. Like your other stargate image better but this one is okay too. They can't all be winners as we all know from time to time we can't translate it into what we want.
ReplyDeleteLove your work though. Looking forward to the next.
Excellent work! :)
ReplyDeleteI like "stargate".It,S good when we do not feel happy with what we are doing... is the way to achieve more and more... and the next "stargate" will be what you want.
ReplyDeleteBut neither stones or tomatoes... forget your salad... your work is very nice..and an interesting idea.gongrats. (By the way, yes: i'm a portuguese sculptress and a great enthusiast of 3D modeling software)
I love Stargate. You'll "very" good on the next one, i guess.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome piece, I love the concept, great work! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat concept and idea..stunning work! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the show and several years ago I tried to emulate the star gate with photos but done a bad job. yours is outstanding.with scenery like what you have there, I would not want to leave however
ReplyDeletei do love it eddie so i dont have to throw u a tomatoes :)GREAT image i think you did a good job on this, stargate is great .. great work
ReplyDeleteFantastic composition and wonderful work.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea !!!!
ReplyDeleteYour name and childhood memories make me think you were / are Dutch..
so I would like to say
Origineel.. mooi plaatje.
Goede combinatie van foto en 3d art...
Ik zou er zoooo doorheen stappen op zoek naar avontuur
Wonderful,i feel like jumping into the stargate and see what i find on the other side!!:-)
ReplyDeleteinteresting light. Love the mountain in the background and the title is perfect :-)
ReplyDeleteI like that, the gate and stairs blend well with the capture... Maybe you could slightly decrease contrast and opacity on the golden stargate?
ReplyDeleteSome interesting photo manipulations and concept, just one suggestion, the background fountain photo has a blue hue in the shadow, maybe a blue colour correction on the steps, bridge and Stargate would make them integrate better...no biggie though !
ReplyDeleteWell done & ~Cheers~
Beauty!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's bad at all....pretty darn cool and clever actually !
ReplyDeleteVery nice design.Great lights and colors...
ReplyDeleteLooks great and the blend is well done..But I too like the first one best...I love Sg1...ok well I love Jack mostly hehehehe
ReplyDeleteActually I never posted the very first Stargate work... the one from the clouds, 'cause I'm sure you're talking about that, it was the third one, created after I made this one...
ReplyDeleteVery nice work. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI think it is fantastic. You sell yourself short.
ReplyDeleteIf only this were real. :(
ReplyDeleteOh, well...
Not perfect, but still a great idea for an image (and well better than I could do).
thanks for sharing.
one of my favourite movies! the series is just average but this image is great!
ReplyDeleteoh pretty cool idea here..
ReplyDeleteside note: I see what u mean about the stargate.. I do have it for poser somewhere on my machine.. if u r looking for a specific angle, render or what not let me know...
Ahhh, there's your Stargate :-)
ReplyDeleteExcellently done, I love it! (and your Atlantis avatar as well, that's what drew my attention to you in the first place...)
