Troubled Skies

I took this shot last summer while I was traveling to St. Louis, MO. I don't remember the exact location, but it was in Indiana, somewhere between Ft. Wayne and Indianapolis. A huge storm was coming, and it started as soon as I reached Indy, and it lasted for over 200 miles...

  6. Barns, Butler corn cribs and silos and a machine shed. The mix varies by city and town. I watched them come some of them. The older slant side cribs are still around. You can park a tractor in the middle of some. Hog barns and chicken coops with their low rooves also have space.

  10. That was one thing I remember about the weather in this area. Some years ago, I drove across country and when I got to Indiana I saw a sky much like this. It was huge and fierce and it dumped a sheet of rain and them hail and then to make life miserable, it dumped another sheet of rain for over an hour. This really is a fantastic build up of clouds you have captured so well.

  48. I remember this storm...live right between Indy and Fort Wayne (65 miles each way).

The cloud formations were very strange looking...kind of like upside down.
I googled and found the name at the time..but can't remember what they were called.

The farm is pretty much the same as any other farm in this area...Cool image!
