Traces on the Sky

Speaking about skies, I post today this collage of three images that I took back in july '05 while walking by the ocean in Hollywood, Florida. I saw that strange line on the sky, a perfect one that was cutting the clouds. There was no way to be from the sun, 'cause the sun was in the opposite side. I sent these pictures to different TV stations and specialists, but nobody had an answer. Probably neither you, but I just wanted to share these images. I recommend y'all to see the large version...

Now is time for today's joke:

A psychiatrist was conducting a group therapy session with four young mothers and their small children.
- You all have obsessions, he observed.
To the first mother, Mary, he said:
- You are obsessed with eating. You've even named your daughter Candy!
He turned to the second Mom, Ann:
- Your obsession is with money. Again, it manifests itself in your child's name, Penny!
He turned to the third Mom, Joyce:
- Your obsession is alcohol. This too shows itself in your child's name, Brandy!
At this point, the fourth mother, Kathy, quietly got up, took her little boy by the hand and whispered:
- Come on, Dick, we're leaving. Your brothers Peter and Willy are waiting for us!

  1. Mysterious track...suppose it has to be weather related unless it was made by something the size of the ship Will Smith encountered on the 4th of July several years ago. I notice you tooks these most interesting pics in the month of July. Hmmmmm?

  11. Excellent capture and very interesting phenomenon - I suppose it has to be weather related, though the ruler straight line would contradict that normally.

  12. Looks like shadows cast on the clouds. See something like that when the clouds are at the right height and the sun comes up behind Mount Hood. Great Joke

  27. HEHEHE, love that joke!!!
As for the phenomena you captured on camera - this could definitely be an early formation of a twister, except it never developed into one eventually. The funnel shape is just to familiar.
